Do I need to know Linux or the command line?
No. That's the whole point. You describe what you want in plain English and Ally handles the commands. It explains everything it does in language anyone can follow.
Is it safe to let an AI run commands on my server?
Yes — safety is built in, not bolted on. Ally blocks destructive commands, asks for your approval before anything risky, and verifies its own work before finishing. It also treats anything it reads on your server as data, not instructions, so a hacked server can't trick it. Read the security model →
What kinds of servers does it work with?
Linux servers (Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, and more) over SSH, Windows Server over WinRM, hosting panels (CyberPanel, cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin), and cloud accounts (AWS, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Google Cloud, Azure).
How does Ally connect to my server?
You add your server once with its login details, which are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before they're stored. Ally connects over the standard secure protocols (SSH / WinRM / the panel's own API). Your credentials are never shown back to you or anyone else after you save them.
Can my team use it too?
Yes. Invite teammates and give each person access to specific servers with a role (view, operate, or admin). People with view-only access can never run commands.
What does it cost?
There’s a free plan to try it on a couple of servers, and Pro and Pro+ plans for managing more. Ally is included in every plan with a monthly allowance of requests. On Pro and Pro+ you can connect your own AI account instead and use it without a monthly cap.
