The terms, in plain English.

What ServerAlly is

ServerAlly connects to servers you already own or rent and helps you manage them: it watches their health, installs software, deploys websites, scans for problems, and carries out work you or your AI assistant ask for. It is a tool you point at your own machines. We do not host your servers and we do not become responsible for what runs on them.

Your side of it

You must be entitled to give this access. By adding a server you confirm you own it or are authorised to administer it. If you manage servers for clients, that authority is between you and them.

You are responsible for keeping your own account secure, for the passwords and keys you give us, and for what you or your assistant instruct the product to do. You must not use ServerAlly to reach a machine you have no right to, to attack anyone, or to break the law where you or the server are.

You need your own backups. ServerAlly can create and schedule them, and we strongly suggest you do — but a backup you never set up is one we cannot restore.

What our safety features are actually worth

This is the clause we would most like you to read.

ServerAlly refuses catastrophic commands, asks before steps it cannot undo, prefers moving files to deleting them, and re-checks its own work. Those controls are real, they are tested, and they are not a guarantee. Software that administers servers can still break a server. An assistant can still be wrong. A command you approve will run.

Treat ServerAlly as a capable colleague who works quickly and shows you their reasoning — not as a system that cannot make a mistake. Keep backups, read what you are approving, and try things on a server you can afford to lose before you point it at one you cannot.

Connecting an AI assistant

You can let your own AI assistant work through ServerAlly. When you connect one you choose what it may do: Read-only looks and reports, Full access may also change things, and Full power adds a real command line.

You are responsible for what your assistant does under the level you granted it. We do not control it, and its provider's terms are between you and them. You can revoke a connection at any time from Settings and it stops working immediately.

Some steps will not run until you personally approve that exact command through a one-time link. Approving inside a chat does nothing — that is deliberate, so consent cannot be granted by the thing asking for it.

Early access

ServerAlly is in early access. Features will change, some will be removed, and there will be faults we have not found yet. We do not promise a particular level of availability during this period, and we may need to take the service down to fix or improve it.

The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law where you are allows. Where the law gives you rights that cannot be signed away, nothing here removes them.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for ServerAlly in the twelve months before it arose. If you are on a free plan, that amount is nothing — which is the honest trade for a free plan and a reason to keep backups.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Payment

Paid plans are billed by FireVPS through its own billing system, under its terms. Plans are per server. We do not charge for AI usage and we do not sell AI credits or tokens — you bring your own assistant or your own key, so there is no metered bill to be surprised by.

If a payment stops, your account returns to the free plan. Nothing is deleted because of that.

Ending it

You can stop using ServerAlly whenever you like and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack others, to reach machines it has no right to, or in a way that endangers the service — and we will tell you why.

Removing ServerAlly does not remove anything it installed on your servers. Your machines and their contents remain yours.

Changes, and contact

We will update these terms as the product grows. Material changes will be dated here rather than made quietly. Continuing to use ServerAlly after a change means you accept it.
